Divorce and breakups are not very fun events to endure but when living together it is important handle the financial affairs in a civilized manner.  If this is not possible then have a mediator that will be able to help dividing up the assets if possible.  If you have a car that has your name on the title, then please do remember that you are responsible to whatever happens to the car. So if your ex has an accident, the end result is that your name is on the car and you will be deemed responsible.  So if you really must give your car to ex, then go through the proper proceeedings to transfer the title of the car into your ex’s name so that they will be responsible to the happenings of the car.
