Best College Majors To Choose
I have been learning about the the most lucrative college majors for current college students. When I started out in school, my parents pushed for me to be in Business Administration and I chose International Business. However, I found that this courses drew absolutely no interest to me. When I started back in college a few years ago, I completely changed my major to Sociology as I really would like to help others. I have been enjoying my schooling, the courses and I have learned so much along the way.
“The kinds of majors where you learn to integrate mathematics and science with the everyday world have a tremendous benefit in terms of earnings potential,” says PayScale.com’s Lee.
Engineering has been noted one of the majors that allow for a normally higher salary than some of the other majors. I know that my major in Human Services will be serving people more and more in the future. Now if you are set on obtaining a Psychology degree, then do considerate going all of the way to a doctorate degree. I believe that with any major, going forward with another degree and more importantly building up your experience would be best.

I decided that I want to get my masters degree. I have a BA in English and didn’t just want to keep down that route. However, I was amazed in my research about which majors one would think were very useful, but really aren’t. For example, I took a lot of developmental psych courses during my undergrad years because I loved them. I looked into psychology MS and MA degrees and was shocked that very few of them really lead you to a solid career path. A few of them it seemed (much like English)pretty much led you to a PhD, then to teaching.
Do employers really care someone’s major if he or she can do the job?
